In all my years I have never had a metal fan blade on any car fail!!!!!!!!!!! hitting a ice easy 5 grand and a god ol mighty clatter a blade gone lucky it never did any damage except for a bit of bark off the front l/side rail
I have been a long time member of the 1200 club but found this site. As I have a coupe this is where I should be.

Now that is lucky.

I've never had a metal fan fly apart either, but the metal fans don't pull much air. The plastic units off the 1200 do a much better job, but in saying that I've got a metal unit in my thou currently, and its running fine.

In my pile of "stuff" I've got a 6 blade fan from something (time has lost what car its from), and it pulls (air) like a school boy with a stick book...
