There was a hijet van near my house. Ill have to do a drive by and see if it is still there and snap a pic. Had a rotating flashing light on its roof, adds heaps of character to it.

You know me too well. I actually hand made one of those thread adaptors before commiting to my S-Mark gear knob. I had plans of using a toyota Knob on my A-Series gearbox. Toyota was a larger thread, so bought the matching bolt and drilled/tapped to...

Dont go cutting up guards to fit copys. 100mm are the earlier variant of the spear indicators and in my opinion are the more desireable of the two lengths. Id be buying a thin sheet of closed cell foam and having a crack at making my own gaskets...

If you have the spear indicators, ebay sells cheap copys. Never tried them myself, but could be the go just for rubbers. Datsun 1000 has 2 lengths for spear lights, 13cm is the most common size. Compatable with datsun 520 and 1600 ...

Will be economic. Only driving car 2 or 3 times the dataun 1200's length in my friends driveway. His driveway is sloped, so engines are better than pushing. Once he does paint he will think about which motor to use. His other 1200 is 450 wheel hp...

Last week i bought an A10 engine for the distributor and rocker cover. On the same day my friend bought a 1200 with no engine. So naturally...on the weekend we decided to get the A10 running and put it into my friends 1200 so he can get it in/out of the...

Not mine, but thought id share this here incase any of us are close enough to pick up a bargin. Gumtree title is datsun 1200 engine, but description states engine as A14 that was running when removed. Wish I was closer. Datsun 1200 engine,...

Early dash surround keeps the dash fitting to the original lines quite well. That i agree with. I'm on the fence about late dash, feels more like a decision based on saftey regulations (padded top) rather than design. I do like the heater and wiper...

LED brightness is worth wondering about... My brothers high beam was ridiculously bright when he first installed his dash. The blue LED was considerably brighter than the green LED's, so his high beam required a bigger drop in voltage than his indicators...

I think im only 1% of ddgonzal's helpfulness. I dont think the spring would need to be 1000 specific. Atleast you know what you need to do to sort your issue.

I agree with you about the 1000 dash being ordinary. Coupe has a good dash. Id go so far as to say id like a coupe dash in my sedan. Ill throw this in for some inspiration on custom building... Years ago my brother made a custom dash for his Hilux,...

Contact datsport about 1/4 rubbers. Richard Morris, a member on here has kindly sent off a 1000 sedan to datsport to be used for making new rubbers. The more genuine enquiries they recieve about parts, the higher up the to do list rubbers become.
