I didnt mind spending the money. I think every emblem on my car owes me over 200 anyway. Plus I enjoyed the process. Emblems on.

Thanks Dundee. I well and truly overspent on a DIY emblem. Shapeways cost about $85 including post. Then did about $20 in sand paper as i got every grade down to 2000 grit. We removed volume on the back face in.our design to reduce print costing. This...

I got my 3D printed emblems in the post earlier this week. I chose the stainless option which is made up of 60% steel, 40% brass. I sanded down the face to a smooth finish and then nickel plated my emblems with a DIY nickel-acetete solution made from...

Nothing too exciting this time. I did a retractable lap sash seatbelt conversion into my 1000. For my additional points i used seatbelt spreader plates. (B pillar and directly below) I used the factory lap belt points for the remaining two ends of...

I would think it will be back. The main moderator was starting new topics with scans of old catalogues the other day. Dosn't seem like the behavior of someone about to close a website. 1200.com has gone down before, so i doubt it has gone for good.

Thanks for the emblem lovin. If there is such a thing, then i guess we made the correct design decisions.

It is an emblem that never existed. I just thought that i should remove the deluxe emblems from my guards now that i have removed it from my bootlid. I guess you could call it a "Sunny Sports" emblem as i wanted it to match in with my other...

I have not done the spring saddle. Maybe oneday... I have done eye and shackle bushes in Nolathane These made a noticable difference to how the car drives. On another Note... Andrewzuku helped out and designed an emblem for me. I am having it 3D...

I just painted the leafs and put them back in. No idea on how successful the spring project has been as it is still not in the car. Im guessing there are still unknowns in my future with it all. Most likley I will need my red leaf pad heights...

This afternoon i removed my "deluxe" emblem from my boot lid and replaced it with a "sports" emblem that i had lying about in my stash. I definitely prefer this emblem combo over what i had.

Have done vinegar with good results also. (I think D may have even been the one who put me on to it) You are a good man D. On a side note, i believe after using vinegar the norm is a rinse with water then a wash with water/bicarb soda, then...

I have no idea if this is right or wrong, but if it was mine i would be removing the surface rust before assembly. Think id try to get it rust free with the least ammount of scratches as i could. Not sure about what is the best method sorry.

My rubbers arrived today. I had to knock the tiniest bit off two corners to get these in. Looking at how my car currently sits... these rubbers should have the spring pressing downward through the centre line when installed and sitting at resting...

Well after only 1 day i have decided to take out the extra leaf. Im afraid of making my 1000 into a monster truck with the extra leaf. The assembly process was far simpler as well, so im guessing the extra leaf added that little bit too much...

Got my spring liner in the post last week, but got distracted with maintaining my local MTB trails. This weekend I decided to assemble my front spring. I did not use any liner between the 3 top leaf springs. Because of the added thickness of my...

Welcome to our Forum. Im excited to see what you do with this. Love the coupes. I think I'll pipe up with something that I wish I knew when I started my build. In my experience, some 1000 parts can be hard to find if you need something here and now....
